Cellist Syneva Colle, who joined the K-State faculty in 2024, will be featured in her first Hale Library concert. She will be assisted by pianist/composer William Roger Price, emeritus professor at the University of Tulsa. Claude Debussy's Cello Sonata, one of the masterworks of the cello repertoire, will open the recital, followed by Katcina Dances by Louis W. Ballard, who is known as "the father of Native American composition." This recital will include transcriptions of art songs by Clara Schumann (the most famous female composer/pianist of the 19th century) and will feature the world premiere of Under the Sun by William Roger Price.
